A global asset management firm sought to embed Lean Management capabilities into its culture as one of the four key enablers in achieving its strategic operational goals. The firm had three business units with 480+ people managers and sought training within 18 months. The company had limited internal Lean and data analytics capabilities, no pipeline process for project identification, and lack of standardization, best practices and deployment experience.
SSA customized a Lean Management strategy and training plan aligned to the organizational structure and KPIs and changed behaviors and mindsets through training, coaching and performance management in order to increase human capital effectiveness.
SSA trained over 480 leaders in 15 months on Lean tools and concepts, which increased Lean skills capabilities by 44%. Colleagues were coached and mentored, achieving 99% of leadership talent leveraging core Lean capabilities such as huddles, leadership reviews and visual management which increased communication. The total knowledge was transferred to key talent for continuous improvement.
