SSA & Company Taps Wayne Dix to Expand its Healthcare Practice
The UnitedHealth Group and CatalystRx veteran will help healthcare services businesses, payors, and providers drive operational and digital transformation.
NEW YORK, July 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — SSA & Company (SSA), a New York-based global management consulting firm, announced today the addition of Wayne Dix, a former executive at UnitedHealth Group and CatalystRx (now OptumRx), as Vice President, Healthcare to grow and lead the firm’s healthcare practice.
SSA helps healthcare services businesses, payors, and providers to deliver better patient experiences and value, improve revenue cycle management and population health, reduce cost and complexity, and redesign operating models. By applying advanced analytics, new technology tools, and its core heritage of operational transformation, SSA enables organizations to optimize their processes, people, data, and technology in a rapidly changing healthcare marketplace.
“Wayne joins the firm to bring his expertise to bear at this critical moment of accelerating healthcare transformation,” said David Niles, President, SSA & Company and G100 Companies. “Health spending is projected to grow 1.1 percent faster than GDP annually over the next two decades. The industry faces unprecedented pressure to provide more effective care for more people at lower costs. With the addition of Wayne’s leadership, our uniquely skilled teams bring combined expertise in technology, advanced analytics, and operations transformation that will allow us to unlock greater benefits for our healthcare clients.”
An operations and technology expert, Dix brings more than 20 years of experience helping businesses enable growth and improve operating results and client satisfaction through process and organizational transformation, technology rationalization and modernization, and alignment of technology and operations functions with business strategy. Most recently, he helped integrate the operations and technology of a home health risk adjustment acquisition into UnitedHealth Group. Prior to that, he led the integration of Walgreens pharmacy benefit management business into CatalystRx.
“Every healthcare organization today is contending with an environment of rapid change in regulations, payment methods, risk-sharing arrangements, and the resulting increase in complexity,” Dix said. “In addition to providing quality care, healthcare leaders now have the imperative of building digitally enabled and flexible operating models to drive organizational agility, overcome complexity, and reduce operating expenses. Combining SSA’s operations transformation expertise with digital technology and advanced analytics, we will help healthcare organizations realize greater efficiencies and innovate for growth.”
