Buy-Now-Pay-Later offerings could have a big impact on the upcoming holiday shopping season as more bands announce partnerships with payment providers. Vice President Chris Ventry was featured in “Big-Box Retailers Promote New Buy Now Pay Later Options Ahead of the Holidays” in ModernRetail about the potential for BNPL to drive conversion rates and online sales during the next few months.
Chris notes how repayment programs like these fulfill a need in the market and will ultimately lead to bigger baskets. He explains, “There will always be a cohort of consumers who do not have or want to use a credit card. The potential for an extended interest-free payment schedule through BNPL is enticing — ultimately enticing enough to drive conversion, which is the primary goal of all digital commerce sites.”
